| For over 40 years, PINO made his mark as one of the leading illustrators of his time. Pino was considered the top artist by many publishing companies in New York. Starting in the mid-1970's Pino created an entire genre of artwork that would help major publishing companies establish a multi billion dollar industry. His artwork graced the covers of books written by Danielle Steele, Amanda Quick and Nora Roberts to name a few. Art critics praise this period in Pino's career as having produced some of his most important work. These illustrations are a small part of publishing and art history. Norman Rockwell was the first great American illustrator and many consider Pino to be the last. |
After Pino retired from creating commissioned work for the publishing companies, the business went digital. Graphic designers used computers to create art. These works are oil on board and measure 30x22 inches unframed. Enjoy viewing some of the most spectacular work Pino created over his illustrious career. |
